Both advantages and disadvantages of the systems under research were identified due to the performed analysis of general approaches to the implementation of specific technologies and means of the Internet of Things. Insufficient integration between the considered realizations and approaches to the Internet of Things technologies with the information system of libraries ranks among the main disadvantages. The conclusion concerning the absence of centralized management in each direction of the establishment activity demonstrated the necessity to discuss several key factors that require additional in-depth study, elaboration and implementation of the basic principles for creating IoT-enabled automation systems for libraries. \nThe scientific novelty lies in the attempt to analyze common approaches to the application of the innovative Internet of Things technologies in the information environment of world-famous and national libraries. \nThe practical significance. Abstract
