Abstract
Abstract A preliminary register of Polish manuscripts from the 16th to the 19th century stored in Collection 971 at the National Library of Russia has been created to facilitate research in this foreign collection. The register has a form of a searchable table with 430 four-field posts. The work at the library was prepared by comparing partial descriptions of the collection found in earlier works from 1910 to 2010 with the register of items returned to Poland in accordance with the Riga Treaty of 1921. All available codices were prefaced with descriptions in the only available unofficial, unregistered type-scripted inventory.
