Abstract
The international business (IB) strategies of multinational enterprises (MNEs) are of great interest to students, academics, and practitioners. Since the 1970s, when scholars shifted their focus from examining the country’s competitiveness from a dominant economic perspective to appreciating the importance of companies and how resources are allocated within the company, the MNE has been a significant topic of interest to IB scholars. Because the majority of businesses are now MNEs, the study of strategic management decisions is becoming increasingly important. The institutional setting in which these MNEs operate can have a significant impact on the strategy’s success. The understanding of MNE strategy and operations will be further developed and expanded by the growing IB strategy field of scientific inquiry.
