The proposed method effectively controls the inherent problem of exponential numbers of states by using the conventional method. Abstract
This paper proposes a novel supervisor for automated manufacturing systems (AMSs) using finite state automata (FSA). The synthesis method is useful for obtaining a legal supervisor, but the transitional method cannot prevent state explosion. Therefore, this paper uses a new synthesis policy to significantly reduce the number of illegal states.
