Abstract
Given the rapid development of photocatalysis and electrocatalysis technologies, and the importance of organosilicon compounds in the fields of materials science, synthetic chemistry, and agrochemistry, photo- and electro-enabled radical silylation reactions have become a research focus in organic synthesis, which continues to give impetus for the innovation of organosilicon chemistry. This review aims to highlight the recent advances in the area of radical type silylation reactions mediated by photo- and electrocatalysis. We endeavor to shed light on new perspectives and inspire further research and applications in this emerging area.
