We present PartCrafter, a tool which extracts and aggregates genomic feature data in order to facilitate the search for new BioParts with specific functionalities. PartCrafter can also turn a genomic feature into a BioPart by packaging it according to any manufacturing standard, codon optimizing it for a new host, and removing forbidden sites. The field of Synthetic Biology is both practically and philosophically reliant on the idea of BioParts-concrete DNA sequences meant to represent discrete functionalities.
