A study on activated vitamin D revealed that muscle mass could be maintained by administering alfacalcidol to patients with osteoporosis. Abstract
Many of the adverse outcomes of frailty are probably mediated by sarcopenia. Unfortunately, there are currently no approved drug treatments for sarcopenia.
