Republican leaders in the US Senate have decided against a vote on their party’s latest attempt to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare. Defections by Republican senators John McCain and Ted Cruz over the weekend of 23 and 24 September doomed the bill’s chances.
