It is the first application of the non-crosslinked, low-carbon, eco-type PP insulation material in the field of high-voltage cables in China. The PP cables are set in a high-voltage line cable tunnel at a depth of 5 m underground, with a total length of 1.47 km. Abstract
On May 11, 2023, China's first 110-kV polypropylene (PP)-insulated cable was successfully put into operation in Guangzhou, and it has been operating safely since then.
