Abstract

Vitamin D is an essential precursor to the steroid hormone calcitriol which mainly regulates calcium homeostasis. Moreover anti- proliferative, pro- apoptotic, anti- angiogenic effects of Vitamin D support the ideas of preventive role in various cancer. This study aimed to determine if there is a relationship between HPVDNA infection and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia and Vitamin D deficiency.
