Abstract

We read the newest 2022 ISPD recommendations on the evaluation and management of peritonitis with interest. We greatly appreciate the committee’s critical work to summarise the literature and distill it into a cogent review and set of useful clinical practice recommendations. However, we wanted to raise attention to what we felt was a potentially confusing discussion in the Identification of Causative Organisms section (page 121).
