The following indices were taken into consideration: pocket depth around implant calculated at four measuring points, marginal alveolar bone loss measured using radio-visiography, the 3-degree Wachtel scale of healing of the soft tissue. In addition, the presence and possible width or height of any recession around the implants was measured. The success of the implant treatment was assessed according to the Albrektsson success criteria. Abstract
