Abstract

Many eukaryotes, including plants, produce a large number of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs).Growing number of lncRNAs are being reported to have regulatory roles in various developmental processes.Emerging mechanisms underlying the function of lncRNAs indicate that lncRNAs are versatile regulatory molecules.
