Abstract
Celiac disease, intolerance to gluten, is characterized by the autoimmune inflammation of the small intestine in genetically susceptible individuals (Kang, Kang, Green, Gwee, & Ho, 2013). Because of the diverse clinical presentations and extraintestinal symptoms, it is not always easy to diagnose celiac disease. Here, we present a patient with recurrent pericarditis who was diagnosed with celiac disease in the absence of gastrointestinal symptoms.
