Abstract

Two groups of patients have been treated with isonicotinic acid hydrazide (INAH) with 5-bromosalicylhydroxamic acid (T40) or p-aminosalicylic acid (PAS) for three months.

One group of 119 was treated with INAH + T40, a second group of 48 was given INAH + PAS.

Resistance of mycobacteria Tb towards INAH has been followed in the course of treatment.

Before treatment 75 patients in the group INAH + T40 and 24 patients in the group INAH + PAS showed a full sensitivity of bacteria towards INAH.

After treatment, in 40 cases (53·3 per cent.) out of 75 patients of the first group and in 14 cases (58·3 per cent.) out of 24 of the second group bacteria remain sensitive towards INAH.

Both figures are essentially the same (t=0·43).

The number of cases where strains of bacteria developed resistance towards INAH (at concentration 5–25 mcg./ml.) were:

菌株对INAH(浓度5-25微克/毫升)产生耐药性的病例数为:
