Administrative faults with reference to food hygiene.

Abstract

cases following the consumption of meat pies manufactured in a factory in South-West Northamptonshire is described. Whilst a great variety of cooked and uncooked foods were prepared in the factory, the vehicle of infection was exclusively meat pies to which had been added, as is customary in the trade, a warm solution of gelatine. The original source of the infection and the method by which it gained access to the factory was not ascertained with certainty.
