Abstract

TOURING the past fifty years little has been done by local authorities or other bodies to provide housing accommodation in rural areas for old people, and it is not unusual ~to find the vast majority of these old people housed in the poorer type of property with the minimum of amenities and little chance, owing in the main to their financial status, ,of moving to better property in which they can spend the closing years of their lives an peace and contentment. ’
