[The migration of Mexicans to the United States: changes in the decade 1980-1990].

Abstract

"The study indicates certain differences in the amount and characteristics of Mexican migration to the United States in the period from 1964-1980 and from 1980-1990. Entry procedures to the United States, migrants' places of origin and destiny, their occupation in both Mexico and the United States, and the length of their stay there are analyzed. Migrants' age and relocation costs are also studied, although emphasis is placed on the need to systematize data from a conceptual and methodological point of view." (SUMMARY IN ENG)
