Abstract

Enantiomeric ratio of hyoscyamine from Scopolia extract was determined by chiral HPLC-CD analysis. It was found that circular dichroism (CD) detection allowed the analysis of the sample without any special pretreatment whereas UV detection required an ammonia-ether extraction.
