Abstract

Wireless telephone systems help wipe out nurses' unproductive time. The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus installed a portable phone system throughout its hospital to increase efficiency in nursing shifts. The system proved so successful that more than 450 hospital personnel now use the phones.
