Abstract
The topic of enhancing physician referrals is not a new one. Studies on the subject date back to 1957. Today, there is an increased concern with methods to assure the viability of group practices and related or affiliated hospitals. Physician referral enhancement is one of a number of viable options that could help to assure a group practice's survival for the future and deserves renewed attention.
