Abstract

A distinguished panel of PAs discusses the medical approach to cardiac care utilizing more traditional methods of treatment, such as surgery and pharmacology, and the lifestyle approach, which emphasizes changes in diet, exercise, and a program of stress reduction. This Physician Assistant Forum examines the role of each program in clinical practice as well as the benefits, costs, and limitations of each approach.
