Abstract

The Mater Public Hospitals Complex in Brisbane consists of three public hospitals Mater Children's, Mater Mother's and Mater Adult. The number of operational beds for the complex is in the vicinity of 595. The hospitals have been caring for the community in some form since 1906. Each hospital has its own primary file area but the management of the medical record service (MRS) is the responsibility of a single administration.
