The Uniform Clinical Data Set (UCDS).

Abstract

UCDS is an expert system designed to make PRO review more consistent from State to State and to provide for the collection of clinical data which can be used to monitor the Medicare Program in a more uniform way. It will become the basis of PRO monitoring of Medicare inpatient hospital care in the near future.
