Abstract

Recently, a great deal of attention has been focused on health care providers who have or may have the human immunodeficiency virus or, as it is known in its later stages, acquired immune deficiency syndrome. This article explores some of the duties physicians have, or soon may have, to their patients and employers in the areas of testing, disclosure, and practice restraints.
