[Features of drug addiction among adolescent schoolchildren in the Russian Federation].

Abstract

Prevalence of smoking, alcohol and drug addiction among school adolescents living in 21 towns of Russian Federation has been obtained in the anonymous questionnaire survey performed in 1991-1992. The investigated cities were divided into groups according to the nearness of the prevalences by the Average Linkage Cluster Analysis. There is dependence of strain acuteness regarding individual substance use components (alcohol, cigarette, narcotic use) in the cities on the spread of loyal attitude of the social environment to the relevant negative habits. The predominant role of alcohol abuse among the three substance-use component and their close relationship are shown.
