Abstract

Airborne pathogens, bloodborne pathogens, and waste anesthetic gases all pose health risks to those in the PACU. The return of M. tuberculosis outbreaks to health facilities is an increasing problem. Guidelines for administrative procedures, and engineering and recipient controls must be enforced.
