Survey of ongoing activities of quality assessment in general practice in Denmark.

Abstract

BACKGROUND In 1989 the Danish College of General Practitioners (DSAM) and the Danish Medical Research Council (SSVF) decided to set up a working party to deal with the problems concerning quality assessment in primary health care. The aims were to give information about the problems, to start new activities in this field, and to continue the development of methodology. DSAM has a regional representative in each of the 15 counties in Denmark. His task is to be the link between the executive committee of DSAM and its members, to promote and participate in the educational activities, and to take the initiative for local research in primary health care.
