Abstract

Endoreduplication was induced by rotenone with an extremely high frequency (approximately 90% of all the metaphases) in cultured Chinese hamster cells. Endoreduplicated cells were fixed without colchicine or hypotonic treatment, and chromosomal configurations were examined in various mitotic stages.
