Abstract

Synthetic salmon calcitonin infused intravenously in a pharmacological dose of 2 MRCU/kg/hour resulted in an abrupt and profound inhibition of basal and pentagastrin and calcium induced gastric acid secretion in patients with duodenal ulcer.
