Atherosclerotic deformation of the basilar artery as visualized by computerized tomography

Abstract

Eight patients with basilar artery ectasia were well visualized by computerized tomography. The normal appearance of the basilar artery is described. The clinical and CT findings are delineated. The differential diagnoses are listed, and the value of coronal reconstructions is emphasized.
