Abstract

Easily portable and relatively inexpensive, this device was designed to meet the need for noninvasive evaluation of rapidly developing changes in global left ventricular function. The probe can generate both beat-to-beat and summed time-activity curves, from which critical indices of LV function are derived, permitting immediate evaluation of cardiac status.
