Abstract

Rehabilitation represents a total approach to patient care: the relief of pain, the restoration of the maximal level of function, and the maintenance of restored function in a pain-free state, mentally, psychologically, vocationally, and spiritually. As such, it implies a multidisciplinary approach to a complex set of problems and makes the use of a team approach imperative.
