Abstract

In experiments after adrenalectomy and adrenal cortex hormone therapy the quantity of ACTH was ascertained in the hypophysis of cats by methods of microphotometry and radioimmunoassay. The deviation of increased or decreased amounts was studied in acute as well as in chronic physiological conditions of the cats. The different methods to measure the quantities are equally identifying the physiological conditions.
