Abstract

Intraoperative noise is an occupation hazard with potential to compromise anaesthetist performance and patient safety. The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends hospital sound exposure ≤ 35 dB LAeq, yet noise levels routinely exceed this level. This systematic review and meta-analysis study aimed to determine intraoperative noise levels globally.
