Abstract
Dear Editor, This letter conducts consensus analysis for multi-agent-based distributed load frequency control (LFC) systems subject to time-varying delays and different communication topologies. By describing the dynamic behavior of LFC systems based on multi-agent system, an analytical consensus criterion is established to characterize the admissible upper bound for time-varying delays under different communication topologies, thereby providing theoretical guidance for the design of distributed cooperative LFC schemes. The simulation of a three-area power system shows the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
