Abstract

Using the CST MWS software of electrodynamic simulation, numerical analysis has been performed for magnetic effects emerging under diffraction of circularly polarized waves on an anisotropic graphene metasurface in a transverse magnetic field and their controllability depending on the magnitude of the external magnetic field, the graphene Fermi energy, and the angle of wave incidence in the THz and far-IR ranges. The electrically and magnetically controlled absorption spectra of circularly polarized waves with left- and right-polarization for the normal and oblique incidence on an anisotropic graphene metasurface and the magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) spectra for different combinations of applied magnetic and electric fields have been calculated and the controllability of the MCD effect by the external magnetic field upon the change in graphene Fermi energy EF (by an external electric field) to optimal values of EF = –0.2 eV has been demonstrated.
