Abstract
We report the synthesis (solid-state reaction) and characterization of the nickel-modified lanthanum silver manganate, La0.85Ag0.15Mn0.9Ni0.1O3 [LAMNO] ceramic. The room temperature X-ray diffraction (XRD) data were recorded and structural analysis using Rietveld refinement predicts rhombohedral structure with a space group R\(\:\overline{3}\)c & space group number 167 (hexagonal setting). The study of SEM micrographs shows the uniform distribution of the well-grown grains and witnesses the formation of the highly dense sample, which may be a reason for better electrical properties. The analysis of the EDX spectrum confirms the presence of all constituent elements of La, Ag, Mn, Ni, and O in both atomic & weight% and strongly supports the formation of the highly pure sample. The study of the FTIR spectrum confirms the presence of all constituent atomic vibrations of the studied sample. The study of the dielectric spectrum provides information about the formation of the high dielectric constant and low-loss material. The analysis of both Nyquist and Cole-Cole plots supports the semiconducting nature of the material. The study of the UV-vis spectrum provides a direct bandgap energy of 2.6 eV, which may be a good range for photovoltaic applications.
本文报道了镍修饰锰酸镧银La0.85Ag0.15Mn0.9Ni0.1O3 [LAMNO]陶瓷的合成(固相反应)和表征。 EDX光谱分析证实了La, Ag, Mn, Ni和O的原子质量的存在% and strongly supports the formation of the highly pure sample.
期刊介绍:
While ceramics have traditionally been admired for their mechanical, chemical and thermal stability, their unique electrical, optical and magnetic properties have become of increasing importance in many key technologies including communications, energy conversion and storage, electronics and automation. Electroceramics benefit greatly from their versatility in properties including:
-insulating to metallic and fast ion conductivity
-piezo-, ferro-, and pyro-electricity
-electro- and nonlinear optical properties
-feromagnetism.
When combined with thermal, mechanical, and chemical stability, these properties often render them the materials of choice.
The Journal of Electroceramics is dedicated to providing a forum of discussion cutting across issues in electrical, optical, and magnetic ceramics. Driven by the need for miniaturization, cost, and enhanced functionality, the field of electroceramics is growing rapidly in many new directions. The Journal encourages discussions of resultant trends concerning silicon-electroceramic integration, nanotechnology, ceramic-polymer composites, grain boundary and defect engineering, etc.
