Abstract

Periampullary tumors are characterized by their low incidence and are often incidental findings during endoscopic procedures performed for other reasons. Among these, ampullary adenomas carry a potential for malignant transformation, making early detection and timely treatment essential. The choice of resection method primarily depends on the size of the lesion and the degree of deep-layer infiltration, factors that may hinder endoscopic resection and lead to the need for surgical management.
