[Examining the member group of the Kwangtung Branch of the National Medical Association of China].

Abstract

The Kwangtung Branch of the National Medical Association of China was the first local branch of the National Medical Association of China at home inside and outside the country. Its members who can be traced back were 25, including members from Guangzhou and Hong Kong. They mainly came from the Anglo-American schools, and 19 of them from the Christian Church. Because of these factors, the members of Kwangtung Branch played an important role in promoting the organization and development of the National Medical Association of China and the development of western medicine in China.
