Abstract

Background: Endoscopic ultrasound is a minimally invasive diagnostic technique that combines endoscopic and ultrasonographic imaging to evaluate gastrointestinal and adjacent tissue lesions. This report describes its use in the diagnosis of mesorectal metastases from renal clear cell carcinoma.

Case presentation: . A 54-year-old woman with a history of renal clear cell carcinoma treated with right nephrectomy. Follow-up computed tomography revealed rectal wall thickening and mesorectal nodules.
