Abstract
Objective: To examine how authentic leadership influences the nursing practice environment in a multihospital system.
Methods: A cross-sectional assessment of 431 nurses across 7 hospitals used validated leadership and work environment measures. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling.
Results: Leadership behaviors explained up to 45.8% of nurses' perceived leadership support and were associated with participation, staffing perception, and collaboration.
Conclusions: Authentic leadership is a strategic lever to improve workforce stability, engagement, and care outcomes.
