Abstract
The paper presents a generalized dynamic model of a porous gradient medium based on a variational approach. The Lagrangian of the medium includes kinetic and potential energies that depend on deformations of the elastic matrix and the scalar porosity field, as well as on their spatial gradients. A closed system of equations of motion and a porosity balance equation containing 11 physical constants describing the elastic, inertial, and gradient properties of the material, as well as the effects of interaction between fields, is obtained. The types of dynamic interaction are classified into three independent channels: kinetic, “algebraic” potential, and gradient potential. The dispersion relations of longitudinal waves are investigated for various special cases of the model. The asymptotic dependences of frequency on the wavenumber in the long- and short-wave regions are established, and the conditions of the existence of waves and the ranges of “locking” (opacity) of the medium are revealed.
