Abstract

This study explored the diversity of non-Apis bees in Jammu, India, filling gaps in their documentation for conservation. The study recorded 75 species from 23 genera, with 17 first records from the northwestern Himalayas and 12 from the Jammu region. Notably, Megachilidae family was the most diverse. The study emphasizes the need for ongoing research, conservation, and long-term monitoring to protect non-Apis bee biodiversity and ecosystem health.
