Abstract
The nickel molybdate carbon nanotube composites [Formula: see text] were synthesized by solution blending method. The [Formula: see text] were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectroscopy and UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy. The [Formula: see text] organic glasses were obtained by dispersing [Formula: see text] in methyl methacrylate (MMA) and polymerizing in a water bath at 75°C for 1[Formula: see text]h. The nonlinear optical (NLO) properties were measured via [Formula: see text]-scan technique. By testing we obtained that [Formula: see text] has a reverse saturation absorption (RSA) effect and optical limiting (OL) performance. In addition, the RSA effect is enhanced compared to other similar materials. The OL threshold [Formula: see text] and the normalized transmittance clamping value [Formula: see text] are calculated and fitted to be [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text], respectively. Consequently, [Formula: see text] have significant research value in the direction of extending new materials for laser protection.
期刊介绍:
This journal is devoted to the rapidly advancing research and development in the field of nonlinear interactions of light with matter. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, nonlinear optical materials, metamaterials and plasmonics, nano-photonic structures, stimulated scatterings, harmonic generations, wave mixing, real time holography, guided waves and solitons, bistabilities, instabilities and nonlinear dynamics, and their applications in laser and coherent lightwave amplification, guiding, switching, modulation, communication and information processing. Original papers, comprehensive reviews and rapid communications reporting original theories and observations are sought for in these and related areas. This journal will also publish proceedings of important international meetings and workshops. It is intended for graduate students, scientists and researchers in academic, industrial and government research institutions.
