Abstract
In this column, the author discusses the need for collaboration between PhD and Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) prepared nurses in generating and implementing evidence-based practices, improving patient care and the work environment. PhD/DNP scholarly collaboration is most effective when there is clear role differentiation, mutual respect for complementary expertise, and shared goals tied to patient and system outcomes.
