The heat of dissolution of BCl<sub>3</sub> in perfluorodecalin is estimated at –(4–6) kJ/mol BCl<sub>3</sub>, which corresponds to the range of the van der Waals interaction. Abstract

The phase and isotopic equilibria between boron trichloride and its solution in perfluorodecalin have been studied.
