Abstract
In 2018 the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society created the Steven A. Boggs Young Professional Achievement Award to be given every two years to individuals who have achieved their first significant results in the field of dielectrics and electrical insulation. Their contribution can be in the development of new dielectric materials, aging of insulating materials or systems, or insulation diagnostics. The nominees should have a minimum of 3 years and up to 10 years of experience in research, engineering, or innovation after completing their bachelor's degree. Specifically, nominees should have obtained their first degree in 2016 or later. Nominations can be made by submitting an e-mail or letter to Greg Stone by January 31, 2026. The nominator must provide information on why the nominee's contribution is significant, as well as the nominee's CV and proposed citation (self-nominations are not permitted). The nominator must also indicate at least three people who will endorse the nomination and who will provide their letters of support for the nomination directly to Greg Stone, DEIS Awards Committee Chair, at g.stone@ieee.org.
期刊介绍:
The EI Magazine publishes articles written by authors from industry, research institutes and academia. The articles are more practical in content than the papers published in the Transactions. Usually three articles are published in each issue. The articles deal with dielectric materials, processes and new developments applied to industry products. Also the EI Magazine is used to promote upcoming conferences and solicits papers for the conferences. In addition, reports on past conferences are given in many issues. Book reviews and news items are included. An editorial is written by both the EIC and the President of DEIS in alternate issues. Advertising of insulation products appears in many issues.
