Abstract

A magnetite/maghemite mixed solid solution and magnetized bentonite and magnetized activated carbon composite powders have been synthesized by chemical coprecipitation. Based on X-ray diffraction data, the quantitative characteristics of point crystal structure defects in the investigated materials have been obtained. A decrease in the saturation magnetization and remanent magnetization has been established when passing from magnetite/maghemite to the magnetized composites.
