Abstract
A federal rule that may have escaped many government watchers' notice five years ago is generating a high volume of insurance data to shed new light on access to mental health and substance use care. Parity advocates have taken advantage of the newly available information in creating a first-of-its-kind tool to evaluate commercial insurers' performance regarding aspects of the federal parity law.
